Here's what I've come up with so far, I want to mess with the layout of information. I'm having a hard time getting the assets to work for me to I've had to outsource a lot of what I want to do.
The fonts are interesting. Consider replacing Arial with a sans serif that is not an often-used default font. Algerian could be awesome for an occasional display typeface but might get tedious/too intense if used throughout a chapter. Bodoni is a solid terrific choice. Not sure about the gray in the color palette; it also looks like you are using red in a duotone in one of your examples. Regarding "outsourcing," you are free to use other images but you should do the treatments yourself. It will be easier to give clear feedback when we see the first spread. Try not to stack type, even in a mood board, it presents an awkwardness in spacing that does not enhance your hard work :)
