Leah Davis – Textbook Spread 2, iPhone & iPad

I'm really excited where this is headed! I'm having a ton of fun pushing myself to really think outside the box and utilize aspects of design I tend to stray away from. I added in a cool accent color of light green per Professor Wilber's suggestion. It took me a really long time to find a color that matched this palette in look and in color value. I think the green works really well though! Let me know your thoughts on it and if you think it works or not. If it doesn't, what other color could I use instead?

  1. My concept behind this project was to utilize the photography of the west. Not necessarily the colors of it, but the beauty of it and how magnificent the sunsets were (and still are). Most of the images you see of the west are older and typically black and white. I wanted to throw color and beauty into my spreads, and really play off of the fact that although the west was a hard place to live, it was also a beautiful one. My color palette reflects this idea, and I stayed true to the west with earthy tones like green and navy blue.
