My idea for this project was to keep the viewer interested with relevant black and white photos while adding color that is not overkill to the page. I felt i was having a harder time choosing a pallet when i was working with the photographs in color, and this idea felt like a cleaner to me. I figured it would be easier to layer text on the photos as well if needed. The colors I got for the pallet were found online from different color pallets that have been used for text books. I gathered two different ones that seemed earthy and effortless together. I thought this would be good for the mood of the book. My concept as far as designing the layouts is to just keep a minimal style and play with hierarchy as much as i can. Even though i want the pages to be simple, I want there to be depth.
