3D Type Moodboard and Test Example - Putman
My entire inspiration for this project comes from a sign I saw when I was in Athens last summer. (Pls ignore the stern looking man to the left.)
After I decided I wanted to do something shadow based, I perused the internet for shadow and type related images for my moodboard.
After looking through all of these, I decided I wanted my design to be more faithful to the first, original one I saw on my trip, so I jury-rigged this test example to see what the concept would look like with a more stylized font.

This is obviously not as clean as the above examples, but I think it works as a proof of concept. I'd love to see what I could do with a week to work on this in the IRL now that I know where I'm going.

ReplyDeleteI also think that consultation with the students and workers at IRL could enhance this project because most of them have now accumulated a lot of experience in working on these kinds of projects. Knowing what word(s) you will choose will help us provide more feedback.
